Meet our Director, Lilyann. She is our Organizer; the glue to the group. She energizes us (W.A.R.) with new, fresh ideas for rides and social events; improving our skills as lady riders. Lily welcomes everyone and strives to give you a sense of belonging. Expect to be asked to have your picture taken as she gathers everyone for a group picture, hence the name “Pixel”.
Meet Gloria, Assistant Director. She is strong-willed, determined, energetic. She speaks her mind, no sugar-coating here; we love her for her straight-up honesty. Do not cross her or you will feel her wrath. Flip the coin and you will discover Gloria is caring, has a heart of gold. Like a ball of fire, you are immediately drawn towards her positive energy. Gloria will stand by and fight for your honor. She is our "Fireball"!
Meet Michelle, our Treasurer. She is an enterprising woman who is an entrepreneur within a mostly male environment, IT. Her skills and organization make her perfect as our Treasurer.
Cammie, once the newsletter editor, has transitioned into the role of Secretary. In this new capacity, she persists in her role as a communicator, now focusing on documenting our meetings and disseminating her notes among the membership.
Meet Tracy, our Road Captain. Her rides are always fun, challenging and takes us on roads less traveled. First time meeting Tracy you may think she is shy and quiet. You know what they say about the quiet ones…yeah baby, look out! She is adventurous, willing to try new things and encourages us to step out of our shell to join her! Tracy has brought to excitement to our group, especially when it comes to holidays and outfitting our bikes! She always has a wonderful outlook on life. You cannot help but feel her warmth and love.
Meet Sandy. She is fearless, strong, independent, caring, supportive, and dependable. She is our “Badass” on two-wheels with mad riding skills. She has been our Treasurer for several years, and has decided to allow someone else to
Sharing Sandy's ride is “Teddy”. He must be the envy of every single man she passes on the road. He rides on the back of her bike (do I dare say bitch), riding to great places such as the four corners of Washington State and recently Las Vegas!
Hollie has the pulse of the group. She is our sunshine, goodwill, our Ambassador. She sends cards on behalf of W.A.R.to congratulate your accomplishments and support you in your sorrows.
Jen's unmistakable passion for our members is indisputable. She delights in meeting new people and sharing her stories. She's eager to have a conversation with you!
Robin is passionate about communicating and making information easily accessible for all.
Sandy is passionate about riding. The Wing Mileage program documents your mileage and, at certain intervals, recognizes and awards your accomplishments.
While Cheryl might occasionally forget her kickstand, she never forgets her Wing Sisters! Her passion lies in ensuring our mentees are matched with the perfect mentor!
When the gals got together in 2017 and discussed forming a female riding group, she had no idea the new road she would be traveling. She took on the challenge to lead the group, knowing she had everyone's support.
Fireball, her names says it all. She helped by sharing different viewpoints. She played our devil's advocate and we appreciated her for her openness.
When we first started, Switchback was known as Tracy. Her eye for beauty and artistic genius help to create the design of our colors and logo. Her passion for riding has taken her on new journeys, her latest "Coast to Coast."
Sandy's late in life, newly found passion for riding has opened a whole new world. Where once she was shy, reserved, and kept to herself, she now takes trips, whether they are group rides or solo adventures, where she gets to experience the wonderful world of riding by seeing new places, riding many back roads and meeting people who share the same passion.
Elladell's adventure helped to create W.A.R. Identifying how as lady riders we can support and encourage each other.
Sue is deeply passionate when it comes to life and family. When she meets a new lady rider, she shares their enthusiasm and invites them to share their adventure with other like-minded women riders. Sue volunteered to spearhead the group by keeping us focused; facilitating to help us define ourselves and how we wanted to be known within the community.
An all-day, co-ed ride to Mt. St. Helens in 2017 provided the idea for Warrior Angel Riders. There were about 15 of us on the ride. One of the gals on the trip was not very experienced and needed help. The women in the group rallied around her, encouraging her and offering support. Eventually, we reached the end of the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway.
On the way back down the mountain, the gal said she couldn't go on and called a friend, who also rode, to come and get her. He would ride her bike back, and she would drive the car. We supported her decision, realizing she had met her limits. However, one of the guys on the ride started getting on her, telling her she had to keep riding. She kept telling him she was exhausted, but he wouldn't let up. We gals stepped in and told him to back off.
Later, five of us ladies--Lilyann, Tracy, Sandy, Gloria, and Sue--talked about what happened and discussed the need for a women's riding group where we would support and empower one another. Thus, we created Warrior Angel Riders to provide a welcoming space for lady riders from all walks of life--regardless of their riding expertise, age, or choice of motorcycle--to come together and have fun.
